The Battle of Systems

     Jumped. Got a ring!

Ok, the previous lines were scenes of a Sonic and a Mario game.
I´m not against Sega, nor Sony… and of course, I´m not against Nintendo.

What I am against is what competition can do with such important companies. If it weren´t for them, thons of youngsters would be just… bored every single day of their lives.
When the Nes came out, everything changed in a gamers life. Well, it took some years to release the Genesis and the Snes. Both were really competitive, but as always, Nintendo got the victory. Later on Sony brough a huge nightmare for Nintendo, the Playstation. While most of the games were kinda cool, it just took too long to load and the rest of the games were plain… Stupid. Crash Bandicoot? I say no. So, that made Nintendo bring the great… Nintendo64! Well, it wasn´t that great at first, but Nintendo managed to make it a lot more popular with the lastest games, like for example The Legend Of Zelda, The Ocarina of Time. The best game in 1998.
Another N64 hit, Diddy Kong Racing, marked what could be the beginning of a new genre, but those stupid Sony guys tried to make an imitation of it called Crash Bandicoot Racing. Of course, they couldn´t beat ´em. Oof!
Again, Sony is trying to imitate the best strategy game of all which of course was also made by Nintendo: Pokémon!!!! Sony is making this game called Jade Cocoon, where you have to try to catch and train 150 different kinds of small monsters in an rpg-ish game style. Coincidence?

Sony got very popular, so they decided to make Playstation 2.

SAY WHAT? (Nintendo´s and Sega´s exclamation)

While Sega still sobs with the awful unpopularity of their Playstation-wanna-be SEGA Saturn, Sega strikes back with a swirling impact, The Dreamcast.
Which makes Nintendo start working on a new system temporarily called "dolphin project" or whatever….

What I tried to express with this really weird article is that one thing led to another. While one company releases a new game, the other company starts working on a copy of it. We can´t live like this. Us gamers don´t deserve it. Each company should reserve their own originality an accept things how they are. Don´t just release a new system because the other company did too.

It´s just something I wanted to share with the world. Email me with your opinion.

Oh, by the way, Nintendo copied Sega to make Smash Bros. and it also copied Sony to make a Parrapa - wanna -be game….. I´m not that dessapointed though. Nintendo´s versions where a lot better.
