Bimbo Contradiction
By: Savyy2558@aol.com

I don't quite understand why it is that people are so wired to the idea that Peach is or is not a bimbo. Now I know a video game character's private life is not generally built upon in especially Nintendo games, I have to wonder at the voracity which people actually dispise the idea that a woman can get kidnapped in a fantasy world. I mean, woman get kidnapped in REAL life, I wouldn't think people would go out and tell them afterwards that they were stupid or a bimbo.
I think there is a valued idea gone missing when it comes to the idea that Mario runs off to save Peach, or Link goes off to save Zelda and the world of Hyrule, the idea that its not sexist, but a classic case of romance. Has anyone taken into account that its a very old and classic romantic conception to have heros fight for what is right against overwhelming odds? I think that is the case in Shigeru's games. Otherwise, he might just as well be a male sexist, creating Mario saves Pauline, Mario saves Peach, and Link saves Zelda. Thanks for your time.
