One of the first games that I LOVED when I was a little kid was Super Mario Bros which also had Duck Hunt (Which I was never any good at). It all seemed to be an innocent game at first, but then I grew older... and heard about a bad thing called drugs... The more I knew about drugs, the more I realized something about Super Mario Bros.
One day it just hit me and I thought, "yah know, there's a LOT of drug
paraphernalia in this game..." First off there's the use of mushrooms
(Magic Shrooms) which make Mario grow bigger and more powerful... Then
there's the flowers. FLOWER POWER! We all know most who were into flower
power were also into drugs... Then jeepers! I've never seen so many pipes
in a game before... crack pipes, tobacco pipes, weed pipe, peace pipes
and on and on...
Correct me if I'm wrong please (I mean it too), but wasn't Mario sucked into the Mushroom kingdom through a pipe, maybe he was just sucking on a pipe...
SMB 2, the dream of a drug addicted Mario?
In Super Mario Bros two, one of the all time best games, why would
mario have such a STRANGE dream unless he was on some kind of narcotic?
Believe me I'm not putting Mario down, or the games. They still rank
among my favorite characters and games to play, but it was just a
thought that I wanted to share with the rest of the world.
