More Zelda confusion...

Everybody knows that Zelda: Ocarina of Time is chronologicly before
all other Zelda games. Now, in Zelda: A Link to the Past, your main
mission in the later part of the game is to rescue the seven maidens
who are descendants of the Sages. And we ALL know that there are seven
sages in total in Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Including Zelda, the Sage
of Time). But, however, all of the maidens are HYLIAN. I find this rather
bizarre since one of the Sages is a large-unhuman beast, another one
a forever child, and one, well, she's a fish. I see no way that these
individuals could produce Hylian offspring.
Also, I have a theory to offer as well. Sometime
between Zelda: OoT and LTTP, there was a great war between all the members
of Hyrule (As mentioned in the intro of LTTP). During that war, a great
fire, or some other type of evil, destroyed the Great Deku Tree, and
without their gaurdian spirit, the Kokiri became extinct. With their
primitive ways, the Gorons were also annhilitated during the war, and
those who were not were destroyed by a great eruption in Death Mountain
(Which became extinct after the eruption, hence Death Mountain not being
a volcano in other games). The Zora's were not however, destroyed, but
a fluke in their evolution destroyed their once graceful and smooth
bodies, becoming hostile beasts. The Gerudo also experienced a change,
somehow their blood becoming pure Hylian, and become part of Hylian
society Thus, Gerudo Valley becomes a lifeless desert. Kokiri forest,
without the Kokiri, becomes a part of the Lost Woods, and Link I takes
the Master Sword from Temple of Time (Which was destroyed in a natural
disaster) and seals it safely in the Lost Woods. Fairies, having no
one to become gaurdians of, become rarer and used prmarily for healing
purposes..
