How Video games affected my life...
By: Mateo Arvízu

I grew up in a very normal house. My life sure was boring when I was a baby. When I was 3, my dad bought a NES and a Zelda game "for my sister". Of course that he played it day and night (Oh yeah! my sister was 6). One day, my dad was playing and I was watching him, my sister was sleeping in her bedroom so I was really paying attention to the game. Suddenlly, dad went to the bathroom leaving me and the Nintendo alone. I really wanted to know what was this all about. The game was on so I decided to play a little. I took the control and moved Link towards and then backwards, then I pushed another button (I don't remember which). Then my dad came back. I just did that, but since then I love video games.

I played Zelda, then Zelda II, then A link to the past... then my friends gave me the nickname of "Zelda Master". I love Zelda games that much that I waited four and a half years to get LoZ:OoT. I moved to another city and I got a friend that introduced me to the Final Fantasy Series. I was fascinated with them! Vincent Valentine! Zell Dincht!! It was just perfect!

I noticed that I was learning things form those Videogames. I do my best to have enough Power, Wisdom and Courage (Zelda games), I realized what a friend is (Loz:MM), I believe in dreams (Loz:Link's awakening), I know that my loved ones will always be with me (FFVII), I.... I love hot dogs!!(FFVIII)... well, you know the point.

Yeah, my life sure changed since I play video games. But my family is still normal: right now my 18 year old sister is playing with a French Poodle puppet speaking with french accent, my mom is singing "I wish it could be Christmas every day" in the ceiling and my dad is planing to go to Wall Mart at 3:00 AM to buy some clothes.

I played all the Zelda games that came out to America, I'm stuck in Loz: Oracle of Ages, I'm loving Zell to the extreme and I gotta go. I know you didn't like this article, but hey you have to spent your time in somethin' don't you?
