Pokémon vs. Zelda
By: Cole Wise

Ok, it's a very good game indeed, but better than Zelda?

Which one is better? In my opinion there is no contest that Zelda is the better game, but I know that a lot of people think differently. I recently got the new Nintendo power magazine, and to my surprise Pokemon Snap bumped Zelda Ocarina of time out of 1st place in the players poll. On top of that Pokemon Pinball knocked Zelda Links Awakening out of 2nd place and into 3rd place. Pokemon is at the top of all the Nintendo charts. Pokemon stadium was ranked number 1 on the most wanted list, while Dolphin sat near the bottom of the chart at number 8.

What is with this new Pokemon craze? I believe it is basically the same craze as the beanie babies or the Furbies. I also think it is a phase just like they were. I think eventually people will get tired of it and stop buying the products.

I think Nintendo is doing a good job giving the people what they want right no though. They see the demand for Pokemon and they supply the people with Pokemon. There is still a pretty big list of new Pokemon games, and if they sell a lot, more power to them, and I hope they do for Nintendo's sake. I dont agree that it is better than Zelda, but its a matter of opinion.

Dont get me wrong, I loved the Pokemon game for gameboy. It gave me hours of fun. It is a great game. I also enjoyed Pokemon Snap, but I just havent found a game that has given me the joy of Zelda. I guess I just dont want to. You can call me narrow minded but I dont think there will ever be another game as good as the first Zelda.
