The Final Act - The End of the Confusion
By:

When
regularly showing up on this site, I see that many things are bustling
with activity. The fanfics, being updated time and time again, the
thrilling deathmatches, each more surprising than the last, (I swear
that Ganondorf would knock Bowser back to his castle!) and the wonderful
articles, each showing frustration, points of view and many other
things. but the one thing that some people are confused about is the
ending of Zelda 64's. Many have tried to make sense of it, others
wish it wasn't so mind-boggling. I hope to top it all off with this
one last shot, the final act (hence the title) of the murky depths
of confusion.
You defeat Ganondorf with his own power, descend
a collapsing tower and think it's all over. A strange sound throws
your curiosity behind you. Slowly, you creep forward, the remains
of the once monolithic tower at your feet and all around you. When
you reach you destination, the rubble begins to shake and out bursts,
the Gerudo King, barely alive attempts one last stab at revenge. Using
the essence of the Triforce of Power, he alters himself to the ultimate
form, all his anger, fury and emotion festers and melds together.
Ganon is born. A epic battle begins, for the sake of Hyrule and, as
always, good triumphs over evil. Ganon caves in on himself and yields
to links power. The rest of the sages and Zelda use their power to
seal up Ganondorf in their dimension. Ganondorf swears revenge and
the becomes frozen time a gap of time, balanced between the present
and the present to be. Zelda then tells you give cough up the ocarina
of time and that she will have to send you back to your normal time,
and then the paradox kicks in.
Being sent back in time seven years to regain
what was lost to Link will only start at cataclysmic chain of events
that has sent a many to the local insane asylum. Having only defeated
Ganondorf in the future, where is stays locked up bye the bye, would
stick throughout time no matter what.......
Well, this is only gonna get more crazy if I don't clear some stuff
up. Good luck following this one. Luckily, there is a make up conclusion
at the end for all who are baffled. When Link was sent into the future,
he aged unconsciously. he had no idea where he was, what was going
on. His mind was that of his present self, a child. While his body,
of a young warrior. He was sent out by the sage of light, like an
assassin, to rid the world of the monsters, free the other sages and
put an end to all the madness that Ganondorf had created when he steeped
through the rift in time. Now, Ganondorf had created the world in
his own image, the way he wanted it to be, utter chaos. He did NOT
change the present Hyrule, but he created a new world, manufactured
by his own greed, lust and power that made him want the Triforce in
the first place. Ganondorf needed the complete Triforce to gain complete
control over whatever his black heart desired. The Triforce of Power
allowed him to keep the world he had created under his iron fist of
rule.... until link and the Triforce of Power showed up. Link, being
taken from the present world, forged by time and his mind came in
to get the Triforce back in the right hands, to no avail. The Triforce
had created it's own paradox. Allowing the force to split and become
a possession of whomever showed the most of Courage, Power and Wisdom
was smart and yet faulted. This would have the courage struggle to
keep the power from winning with wisdom by it's side. But not allowing
someone to win because the Triforce was part of them and no one could
reap them of it.
With the Triforce divided eternally, the struggle
to win would be infinite. No one could win without destroying the
fabric of time and no one could lose for the same result. The never
ending cycle had to continue. So, when the first battle was over,
the order was restored from chaos, and the Paradox was about to cycle
again, Zelda had nothing left to do. Handing the Ocarina of Time to
Zelda would ensure that no one could access this land of war from
any other point in time. Therefore sealing that reality from the universe
to allow the paradox to fulfill its insane yet life saving quest.
She then sent the conciseness of Link back to his childhood body,
leaving behind the hero of Legend's body to fight Ganon whenever he
should arise. Thus leaving the ever lasting battle to stay ever lasting
without effecting anyone's lives or disturbing the fabric of time.
To conclude, then entire Zelda series is taken
place on an alternate Hyrule. The country gets renewed after another
conflict was won and the evil would be banished to the time stream
where nothing would happen. Until he uses the Triforce of Power to
continue the cycle, the world will live peacefully. Ganondorf will
free himself, take others places and then be defeated every time.
Link will live a normal life, then have to save the world and time
forever. While all the long, unbeknownst to the rest of the universe,
each day, their lives at at risk, and then again, they aren't.
