Wario-
Good or Bad? Many people around my town are asking something every time a new Mario game comes out. Is Wario good or bad? I think something different every time. Lets review the facts of every game. Wario first appeared in Super Mario Land 2 as the main BAD guy. In case you don't know the story, Mario apparently owns an island with his very own castle, but when he came back to the island, Wario had taken over and sealed the door to Mario's castle. Mario has to get 6 Gold coins to open the door and defeat him. So here he is a bad guy. In Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, he is trying to get his own castle. Not Mario's, but his own. Therefore he is a GOOD guy. Once again, here is the story. After being defeated by Mario, Wario overhears some pirates talking about treasure on an island, somehow Wario loses his hat (I don't remember how, but I think the pirates were involved) and goes on a treasure hunt. The more treasures you collect the better the house (worst is Birdhouse, best is Castle). Then Wario goes on a dry spell for a while. Then he appears in Mario Kart 64 and is with the heavyweights, one of them is Bowser. Wario is neutral here, so it is difficult to tell over the next few games (In Mario Party 2, if you look in the manual, it shows Wario picking his nose. After Mario Kart 64 I thought he got some class) like the Mario Party series, Mario Kart 64, and Mario golf. Then there is Wario Land 2, which I do not know the story there, He is portrayed as a good guy. Wow! Has he turned a new leaf? He's 1:2 favor good here. Maybe he is a good guy. Finally, there is Mario Tennis. Here, Wario and his new bro. , Waluigi appear on the scene as bad guys, trying to steal trophies. What is it with him and stealing anyway? Well, he is 2:2. Will Nintendo ever decide Wario's side? Is he doomed to be mysterious forever? And why is he picking his nose in Mario Party 2? Only time will tell. As always, feel free to rebuttal this. |
