Who Invited You Guys?
By: Sunset Kirby

I'd like to start by saying that I am probably one of the biggest Nintendo, Kirby, and Super Mario fans. I've been playing Nintendo since I was 1 and a half. And the first game I played (and beat 5 months later) was Super Mario Land for Game Boy. Then, I knew my life wouldn't be the same. As I got older, I bought and beat more Mario games.

When my brother was born (A.K.A. Super Dimitri), he played Nintendo and was big on Mario games too. But Mario wasn't his guy-he was a Luigi fan. And I thought that was great. Mario and Luigi are brothers and we each just happened to like them.

I used to wear a red hat. It had a picture of Mickey Mouse and it had an "M" on it. I used to pretend to be Mario. Once there was a magazine ad somewhere where you could get your name on your hat. I bought a red one and got the name "Mario" printed on it and my brother got one with "Luigi." Now, I have a collection of Mario games, a new Mario hat, the beanbag collection, blue overalls, a red shirt, and a little Mario I hang around my neck. So I guess you can see I'm a pretty big Mario fan.

But I got older, and got more Mario (and a few days ago, bought Paper Mario). And that's when Pokemon came in. I grew out of it, but used to be a fan. I used to buy merchandise, cards, watch the shows, wrote and read comics, and more. My life was great, or so I thought. Everyone was so obsessed. And everyone was giving less and less attention to the guy who started it all--Super Mario.

Mario was always everyone's favorite. But now, when I ask people what their favorite game is, even people I know who have liked Mario in the past, their response is "Pokemon." When they say that now, it makes me sick. And I also can't stand the thought of those 250 thingies being the Nintendo mascot. Luckily, one of the hottest games out now is Paper Mario and Super Mario Advance 1. But that doesn't change a thing. I can't stand to look at Pokemon anymore. It is one of the worst things ever.

And another thing that is ruining the Nintendo business. One word: Playstation. Two words: It stinks. The idea came from Nintendo and Sega. And everyone thinks it's o-so good. You should thank the people who gave it to you and give them a little respect. Buy a Nintendo. Buy a Sega and let them know you appreciate their idea. Plus, Playstation has taken away a few games from Nintendo such as Tetris, Pac-man, Megaman and many more. And one last thing before my head blows up because of these horrible Playstation thoughts. My theroy for PSX is Sony was losing business and came out with the so-called "best" video game system. Then they started losing business again so they came out with Playstation 2, which is just a repeat of the old one.

So next time someone says "Nintendo," think of the thing you played before Playsation came out. And When someone says "Playstation," beat the livin' day lights out of them (don't really do that. It's a joke.).

And for all you anti-pokefans and Nintendo players, you might want to check out some more of my Mario or Nintendo stories. I have written the Super Mario Adventures series, writing the Nintendoland Super Bowl and will start Nintendoland Survivor soon. And please PLEASE PLEASE check out my website, Nintendo Characters' Megasite.
So until next time, DO THE MARIO!!!!!!!!

Sunset says: I am sorry if I offended you PSX people or Pokemon people. After all, that's just my opinion. But plaese stick with the people who brought you it all, the Mario Bros. and Nintendo (of course).
