Kirby VS. Jigglypuff

The Nintendoland Deathmatch Stadium is teeming with restless shouts and excited spectators. The latest battle is about to begin. But there is no sign of Jim or Benny, the usual hosts. Puzzled by this, the crowd harkens their ears to an announcement coming over the stadium loudspeaker.
 
Loudspeaker: Attention, ladies and gentlemen. Due to the lack of popularity swarming around our usual hosts, Benny and Jim, they have been suspended from the arena.
 
A loud cheer rises up through the crowds. The voice over the loudspeaker continues.
 
Loudspeaker: However, we have managed to find some new temporary hosts, perfect for the job! Popular, famous, and well liked, they are honored to be here tonight! They're the hard-core heroes! The video veterans! Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the Super Mario Bros!
 
The crowd roars and cheers as the Mario Bros. make their entrance into the Hosting Balcony. Mario enters through the right via a red door, while Luigi does the same through a green door. They wave to the crowd and take the microphone.
 
Mario: Good evening, boys and girls! Ready for some action?
 
Crowd: YEAH!!
 
Mario: Well, then we've got the perfect match for you tonight, right Luigi?
 
Luigi: That's right, Bro. This week's deathmatch is between Nintendo's two favorite pink puffs of power! So without further ado, let's introduce our contestants! Player 1 comes from a distant star in a tiny corner of the universe. Boasting the biggest set of lungs in the galaxy today, he has saved his homeworld numerous times and devoted his life to good. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Kirby!
 
The crowd cheers as a shiny, sparkling Warp Star swoops over the arena and deposits Kirby in the center.
 
Mario: Player 2 is also a pink puffball, and comes from the far-off Poke-World. She's beaten down many a Poke-foe, and is ready to take on Kirby. Ladies and gentlemen, it's Jigglypuff!
 
Out of nowhere, a Pokeball drops from the sky and lands in the middle of the arena. A bright beam of blue light surrounds it as the ball shatters and Jigglypuff hatches out.
 
Jigglypuff: Jigglypuff! Jigglypuff! Puff! Puff!
 
Mario: Well, Luigi, it looks like our two contestants are ready and raring to go, so without further ado, let's do this thing!
 
A burly Kremling rings a gong, signaling the start of the match. Kirby and Jigglypuff slowly pace towards each other.
 
Kirby: You're going to wish you stayed in that ball, buddy. Because I'm going to beat your Poke-butt back to Saffron!
 
Jigglypuff: Jigglypuff! Jiggly! Puff! Puff!
 
Kirby: Yeah, yeah, whatever! Take this!
 
Kirby suddenly accelerates toward Jigglypuff and smacks her hard in the top of her dome-shaped head, sending her sprawling backwards.
 
Mario: Well, it looks like Kirby has drawn first blood.
 
Luigi: You bet! Way to go, Kirbster!
 
Mario: Luigi, as hosts, we're not supposed to be biased.
 
Luigi: I don't care what the rules say. Kirby all the way!
 
Luigi takes off his usual, green cap and replaces it with a pink hat that displays the message: K IS REAL.
 
Meanwhile, Jigglypuff has made her way back to Kirby and hit him with three solid punches of her own, flooring him.
 
Kirby: You're gonna regret that, Puff! Take this!
 
Kirby grabs a plate of hot chili from the refreshment stand and tosses it into his mouth. Seconds later, flames spew from Kirby's jaws.
 
Kirby: Ha ha ha! Eat flame, Jerklypuff!
 
Jigglypuff: Jiggly! Jigglypuff! Puff! Puff! Jiggly!
 
Jigglypuff is struck on the backside by the fire several times. Screaming, she scampers to the other side of the arena.
 
Kirby: You can run, but you can't hide! Luckily, I brought my comrade along!
 
Mario: His comrade? Is that allowed?
 
As the crowd watches in curiosity, a small knight in a suit of armor enters the ring. He walks up next to Kirby. Kirby sucks him into his mouth and swallows him. Instantly, a horned hat appears on Kirby's head, and a sharp-edged boomerang appears in his hand.
 
Kirby: No one escapes the power of the Cutter!
 
Kirby throws the Cutter, but Jigglypuff dodges to the side. Jigglypuff then dodges another Cutter, and takes to the air.
 
Kirby: Flight, eh? Two can play at that game!
 
Kirby slowly puffs himself up and becomes airborne as well. But since all of Kirby's concentration is focused on staying in the air, he cannot react to Jigglypuff, who quickly hovers over and lands another hard punch on her opponent, sending him tumbling to the ground.
Kirby picks himself up and looks around. Jigglypuff is still floating in the air above the arena.
 
Kirby: Come down and fight like a hero, Jerklypuff!
 
Jigglypuff: Jiggly! Jiggly! Puff! Puff! Puff!
 
Kirby: That does it! I didn't want to do this, but you leave me no choice!
 
Kirby's cheeks slowly start to get bigger. His mouth opens and he takes a large breath of air.
 
Luigi: Mario, do you think he's going to do IT?
 
Mario: I think he is going to do IT, Luigi! Attention, ladies and gentlemen! We have reason to believe that Kirby is about to perform his Inhale attack! Now, this attack has enough power to suck the teeth out of a python! You have probably noticed that your chairs have been equipped with seat belts. It is for this purpose that they are there. Please fasten your seatbelts now, and hang on to any valuables tightly.
 
The crowd does so, as Kirby gets ready. Finally, a deafening rumbling sound can be heard roaring through the air. Anything that is not nailed down begins to fly towards Kirby, who does not let up. Fortunately, all members of the audience are securely belted to their chairs. Jigglypuff, however, is fighting to stay in the air. She flaps her small arms, trying to gain more altitude, but she is slowly being drawn to Kirby. Finally, with one more sucking breath, Jigglypuff flies out of control towards Kirby and lands right in the Dreamlander's mouth. The wind stops as suddenly as it started.
 
Luigi: Wow! I've heard tales about Kirby, but I never knew he could inhale that hard!
 
Mario: It doesn't look good for Jigglypuff from here…
 
As the crowd watches, Kirby braces himself, and plants his feet firmly on the ground. Then he opens his mouth and spits hard. Jigglypuff goes flying across the arena, at speeds of 55 MPH. Finally, the hapless Pokemon collides with the far wall and collapses. Kirby calmly walks over to the Pokeball Jigglypuff came from in the first place and throws it at the unconcious Pokemon. The Pokeball opens once again and engulfs Jigglypuff. Kirby picks up the ball and kicks it clear out of the stadium. He then stands in the center of the arena and waves to the applauding crowd.
 
Kirby: Ha ha ha! No one can beat me! Just remember, ladies and gents! I'm one tough creampuff!
 
Mario: Well, it looks like Kirby was the winner of this fight.
 
Luigi: And is anyone really surprised?
 
Mario: You have a point there, Luigi. Anyway, thanks for watching, folks, and we hope you enjoyed the fight. Kirby certainly did. Until next time on Nintendoland Deathmatches, this is Mario and Luigi, signing off!
