NintendoLand Deathmatch summary
Link on Epona VS. Mario on Yoshi

TLuigi: Welcome to our latest deathmatch! Normally, Mario would be up here
with me, but he's one of the 4 contestants. But before I announce them I have to announce our guest host. Please welcome Princess Zelda and Princess Peach!

Zelda and Peach enter through Luigi's doors and take their seats.

Zelda: Link will beat Mario like he did last time! Right, Luigi?

Luigi: Well, um....

Peach: Nah, Mario will get revenge! Right, Luigi?

Luigi: Well, um... Oh I'll just announce the contestants! Player 1 is from
the land of Hyrule as well as his beloved horse. Please welcome Link and
Epona!

Epona with Link riding on her comes walking calmly into the stadium and steps into the arena.

Luigi: Player 2 is my own brother! Sadly, he's lost a lot of matches such as
to Sonic and Donkey Kong. But he's not alone tonight! Please welcome Mario
and Yoshi!

Mario: It's a me Mario! (Yoshi scowls at him) and a he Yoshi.

Luigi: I must mention before we begin the fight the first one to fall off
their horse/yoshi loses. Game Start!

(Link and Epona make the first move they charge at Yoshi and Mario, but Yoshi jumps out of the way. Yoshi throws his egg, but Epona runs out of the way.)

Mario: Your horse has more maneuverability than I thought Link!

Link: Life is full of surprises!

Mario: But it won't save you. Yoshi eat a Yellow Koopa. (Yoshi does so) Use
you're earthquake!

Yoshi does so. Epona is shaken, but Link manages to stay on Epona. Yoshi
spits out the yellow shell at Epona. Epona jumps over it. Mario gasps, and
Link looks determined. Mario then smiles and Yoshi swallows a Blue Koopa.
Yoshi grows wings and starts flying around.

Yoshi: You can't hit me while I'm in the air!

Epona: (neigh)

Link: Don't worry Epona. We haven't lost yet.

Mario: All right Yoshi charge!

Luigi: Link's in a little bit of trouble here.

Zelda: You'll see Link has a few more surprises.

Peach: Yeah, weak surprises!

Zelda: Take that back!

Meanwhile, Epona has avoided Yoshi's attack. Link shoots and arrow from his
bow it hits Mario in the arm. Mario takes it out and Yoshi spits the blue
shell at Epona, but to no avail. Yoshi throws an egg and hits Link in the
back. Link manages to stay on Epona. Yoshi shallows a Red Koopa and spits
fire.

Mario: You're a-trapped!

Link: Epona! jump over the fire!

Epona does so and Yoshi spits the red shell at Epona, but Link uses his
shield to keep the shell from hitting. Epona slams into Yoshi. Yoshi flys out
of control with Mario holding on.

Peach: Mario, no!

Luigi: It looks like it may be over for Mario and Yoshi here.

But Yoshi has recovered and moves in and uses his tongue it hits Link a
couple of times, but the Hero of Time stays on Epona.

Link: It's over for you fat man!

Mario: Fat man? Why you....

Mario takes out a fireflower and throws fireballs at Link. Link uses his
mirror shield to deflect them back.

Yoshi: (sarcastically) Great move, Mario.

Yoshi slams into Epona and Epona is shaken up but doesn't go down.

Luigi: hmm, Mario and Yoshi have been making quite a comeback.

Link fires some Fire Arrows and then Ice Arrows both miss. Mario smiles evilly

Mario: It's over!

Yoshi charges, but Epona jumps over Yoshi and kicks him in the back.

Luigi: The tables have turned.

Mario: This isn't possible!

Yoshi: I will show you I'm better than any horse!

Yoshi fires his tongue but Epona stays out of harms way. Link smiles.

Link: Time to end this.

Link and Epona charge, Mario and Yoshi jump aside, but Link takes out his
sword and sticks it in front of Mario. Mario is hit and falls off.

Luigi: Mario has fallen off Yoshi and therefore unable to continue. Link and
Epona win the match!

Zelda: Told ya, Peach!

Peach: (grumble)

Luigi places a medal around Link and then Epona.

Luigi: Well, Mario has lost yet another match. He had better improve his
record. Thanks for watching, we hope you join us next week until then this is
Luigi, signing off.
