Yoshi
Cute and green and with a big appetite for Goombas, who is he? Yoshi! This cute dinosaur creature lives peacefully with his brothers and sisters on the Yoshi Island, but when he's needed he proves a tough challenge even for Bowser.
He's arsenal of moves has increase over the years, and apart from his sticky tongue, he can e.g. throw eggs at his oponents.
  
Kirby
Kirby, the little pink puffball of fun, has come all the way from Dreamland to put his Green opponents to sleep with some nightmarish moves. Like Yoshi he has the ability to swallow his opponents, but Kirby has one advantage. After inhaling his oponent he can take on their special abilities. Another of his abilities include inhaling air, thus enabling him to fly.

NintendoLand Deathmatch summary
Yoshi VS. Kirby

Luigi: Here we are at the Deathmatch Stadium and our fight will be the enemy eating characters Yoshi and Kirby.
 
Boshi: dont forget about me Luigi
 
Luigi: Sure Boshi!
 
Boshi: Well lets start the fight
 
Lugi: Ok
 
Boshi: on the red corner he is cute, the pal of Mario, he is Yoshi! Yoshi is coached by his pal Mario!
 
*Crowds cheer when Yoshi and Mario enters*
 
Mario: Its a me, Mario and its a he, Yoshi
 
Bowser (with the crowds watching): Why do he always say that?
 
Luigi: You should set some fireworks when entering Mario.
 
Mario: I forgot
 
Boshi: Come on Luigi
 
Luigi: ok!
 
Luigi: On the blue corner, he is small, he is big, the hero of Popstar, Kirby
 
*Crowds cheer*
 
Kirby: This is my second fight but I'm good.
 
Boshi: lets fight ok. Set the bomb-omb to explode Luigi
 
Luigi: ok
 
As the bomb-omb exploded Kirby kicked Yoshi. Yoshi successfully dodged the kick and hip dropped at Kirby.
 
Kirby: Lemon Fruit
 
Before Kirby ate his Lemon fruit Yoshi hitted Kirby and Kirby dropped his item.
 
Mario: Yes!
 
Luigi: Yoshi is doing well
 
Boshi: yeah
 
Luigi and Boshi: Go Yoshi Go Yoshi its your birthday its your birthday.
 
Kirby got up his feet then secretly punched Yoshi on the ack slamming him on the nearest wall
 
Mario: Ohh NOOOO
 
Yoshi *getting dizzy*: . . . . . .
 
Kirby jumped above Yoshi and ride on his back. Kirby started to slap Yoshi's but that made him run around
 
Mario: Yoshi, slam him on the groung or on the wall!!
 
Yoshi smashed his back on the wall hitting Kirby on the wall but Kirby still hang on Yoshi's back.
 
Mario: smash him again and again!
 
Yoshi tried and tried then finally Kirby fell on Yoshi's back.
 

Mario: Yes
 
Luigi: I thought Kirby will beat Yoshi that way
 
Boshi: He could still do some good tricks
 
Yoshi way looking at Mario while Kirby ate his Invincibility Candy. Kirby ran towards Yoshi and punched him as hard as he can.
 
Mario: Nooooo!! Get up Yoshi!!
 
Kirby: woohoo
 
Yoshi soon got up and Hip Dropped Kirby while he was not looking.
 
Mario: yes!
 
Kirby: Cutter Move
 
Kirby took his cutter and throwed it at Yoshi. Yoshi got hit painfully by the cutter and Yoshi started to bleed.
 
Mario: Egg Throw!
 
Yoshi took one of his egg and throwed it at Kirby. The egg successfully hitted Kirby and sends him flying on the wall.
 
Kirby: Flame Item
 
Without noticing Kirby took his flame item and ate it then Kirby stared to spit fires at Yoshi.
 
Yoshi: ouch ouch ouch
 
Kirby: That will burn you up
 
Mario: Eat him now!
 
Yoshi ran toward Kirby but Kirby was ready to attack him. Kirby tried to punch Yoshi, but Yoshi successfully dodged Kirby and ate him. Yoshi turned Kirby into an egg.
 
Luigi: Kirby is doomed
 
Boshi: I think Yoshi has beaten Kirby
 
Mario: Go Yoshi
 
Kirby quickly escaped on the egg but when Kirby escaped Yoshi slammed him on the floor by his body. Yoshi repeated to slam Kirby by his body. Kirby became paralyed by the
slamming and the crowds looked at Kirby.
 
Mario: Is Kirby doomed?
 
Luigi: I think he is
 
Boshi: I give to you, Yoshi the Deathmatch Medal of the fight of Yoshi and Kirby.
 
Luigi: Lets get Kirby to the hospital
 
Boshi: Goomba!!
 
A pair of goomba went to Kirby and carried him to the hospital.
 
Mario: We won Yoshi!!!
 
Luigi: This is Luigi here on Deathmatch Stadium and see ya on the next fight here.
 
Boshi: We need to fix up the crates here.
 
Mario and Yoshi went out the stadium happily with the medal.
