The dawn of a early morning was half way into the sky by the time he awoke. It was Saturday, the weekend. And although he didn't have to work, he thought a early morning would do him some good. Actually, the clock read 10:16 am. good timing regarding he usually awoke at 6:30 am during the week. So he lazly got up and perpared for breakfast. It would be ready for him, it always was. After he pulled on his favorite green shirt and blue overalls, he walked towards the kitchen.
    "Hey, look whos finally awake! Mornin' Luigi."
    "Mornin' bro." Luigi said as if he was still only half awake. "I thought I would sleep in seeing as it IS Saturday." Mario slipped Luigi a plate with some eggs, bacon and toast.
    "Yeah well, bout time you woke. Already had three calls today." Mario said after taking a bite from his almost burnt toast. Luigi just continued to eat. This was the first week that The Mario Bros. plumbing service got off, just after the busy season. "Well I'm sure glad that we arnt working today, we've been out for almost six weeks straight now." Luigi said after thinking to himself.
    "Hardly any time to spend with the Princess" Mario complained. The brothers contined to eat in silence untill a thud came at the door.
    "Alright, papers here!" Mario said excitedly. Luigi rolled his eyes. "Great."
    Mario rushed to the door and opened it quickly. He just saw the mushroom delivery kid riding away on his route to deliver the rest of the papers. "Hey, thanks kid!" Mario yelled waving " keep up the good work!" The delivery kid didnt pay attention to him, just kept riding. Honestly, he didn't like Mario. Why couldnt he just leave him alone like the rest of the customers?
    Mario chuckled to himself as he retrieved the paper that was lieing at the foot of the door "Great kid he is."
    He opened the paper as he was walking quickly back to the table to Luigi. He was smiling and had an excited look on his face. Luigi becmae curious. "What's so good about the paper today, bro?" Luigi asked.
    "YES! Just like I thought! Take a look at this!" Mario handed the Daily Mushroom to his brother. Luigi looked at the front cover.
    :::Karts back in the Kingdom:::
    The third annual kart racing has returned this year in another anticipated race taking place throughout the Mushroom world. Since the Mario Tennis tournament is over, The Mushroom Sports Club was looking for a new promotion. It seems that Karts are in for another race. This years tournament will be called Mario Kart: Super Circuit, afetr the legandary hero who developed the sport, Mario Mario. Sign-up for this world-wide televised event will begin in one week. Sign-up for participation must be completed by 12:00 noon the Saturday before. We hope this event brings as much entertainment as the past two. Tune in to Monday's paper to find out the participants.

    Luigi looked up to Mario's smiling appearance. "That means sign-up is done in two hours!" he siad getting excited.
    "It sure does bro. And we better get moving to obtain spots" Mario quickly put in. With that the Mario brothers grabbed their hats on the way out and rushed straight into the Mushroom Kingdom.
