Chapter 2: When Destiny Calls You……

It has been 14 years. Rumor has it that while on a dig site, Roll’s parents had given Roll to Barrell Casket when she was just a baby. Unfortunately, they never came back. Whatever happened to them? Now Roll and Megaman had grown up into 2 wonderful children. But something was bothering Megaman….something long, long ago. Every now and then, he would have terrorizing flashbacks, but he didn’t know what they meant. He though of an exploding wall, a forest, and a purple cat who flew like the sacred wind. Little did he know, that these were all of his past life of when he was just a baby. Roll waved her hand in front of Megaman’s face.
    "Hello? Anybody home?"
Megaman closed his eyes, and moaned. Those flashbacks were giving him headaches. Roll looked at him with concern.
"You still haven’t told me what is happening!" she said. "I want to know."
"Flashbacks." He replied. "There’s something inside of me that is trying to tell me about my past life, I think."
    "Hmmmmmmmmm."

Meow yawned. All these years, she had wondered how that baby she found was doing. She hoped he was alive and well. If he was, he would be about 14 years old, she decided. The years flew by so quickly. Meow had built her strength up. Now everything she fought always lost, no matter what the size. Meow made her way to the Old City. This place used to run smoothly, but an earthquake had ended that. It had been unusable for quite a long time.

Megaman told Roll that he needed some time alone. He walked toward the Old City, his secret thinking place. As he entered, a robot jumped out of nowhere, and threw the startled boy to the ground. He ran, but unfortunately, it was to fast for him. A purple figure dashed by the wounded boy. She dashed past the robot, flying low to the ground (She has very long, wide wings). The robot looked at the purple tiger-sized cat, deciding that she was a better catch.
"You cannot win." She said, in a smooth, serious tone.
Megaman was shocked. An animal could talk? And he had never seen a purple cat with wings, and two tails. The robot ignored her. An unwise choice. Meow flew up high, pelting the robot with set after set of bullets. The robot threw a plasma bolt at Meow, but of course, missed. Meow slammed into the 2-ton robot, flipping it over. Next, she sliced off a chunk of its armor with her 9-inch claws. The robot fell, then blew up, causing Meow to soar backwards, and hit one of the brick walls. Smoke and dust was everywhere. Megaman couldn’t see even 5 feet in front of him. So, he waited. Gradually, after 30 minutes, the smoke and dust cleared enough. He heard distant coughs. He slowly approached the sound, and found Meow. She looked terrible. She was all bruised up, with ripped off flesh all over her, and her wings. She painfully stood up, gritting her sharp teeth. She turned toward Megaman, and was startled to see him. Meow limped past him, but it was plain to see that she might be hurt, but her everlasting pride didn’t get harmed in the least bit. Megaman turned (The smoke and dust was all cleared by this time) and saw Meow running away from him. He gasped, as her large wings spread out, and she gracefully jumped into the air. Her powerful wings beat back and forth, carrying her over and past the Old City. Megaman watched until she was out of sight. Those flashbacks came again. It was trying to tell him that there was a connection here. Destiny was calling…….
