F-Zero 2 -Grand Prix (BS-X)
This unfinished F-Zero sequel was probably one of the games that Nintendo released on their Japanese Satellite system Satellaview a.k.a. BS-X. On the Title Screen it is printed that it was released 1997 and the BS-X system was released sometime in 1995 so it´s a chance of this game being for that system because i don´t believe that Nintendo would sell this game containing only 5 new courses!
--------------------- The Courses ---------------------
F-zero 2 contains only one League, The Ace League consisting of 5 courses:
Mute City 4
This course is very much like Mute City 1 but with Super-Speedup
arrows and big jumps.
Big Blue 2
Much like the other Big Blue course in F-zero 1.
Sand Storm 1
Sand Storm 1 is like the Sand Ocean course in it´s precursor
a course build in the middle of a hot desert and are not to hard to win
on.
Silence 2
Imagine the Silence course from F-zero 1 an then add some mines
and a particularly tricky area were the walls have been replaced by
ramps!
Sand Storm 2
The dreaded wind from the Death Wind courses has returned and makes
this last course a real pain in the ass.
---------------------
The Graphics ---------------------
The graphics are not improved and the courses have the same looks and backdrops
as in F-Zero 1, the only new thing is the special Super-Speedup arrows on
Mute City 4.
--------------------- The Vehicles ---------------------
|
One other thing that have been changed is that the old hoover-cars have been replaced by new ones. (Below there´s a list of them). Blue Thunder have very much the same specs as Blue Falcon but Luna Bomber isn´t at all as Golden Fox, much more like the Fire Stingray. The Green Amazon is both light and has little power just like the Golden Fox and Fire Scorpion is much like Wild Goose. |
