This is the American Mega Man 1 and 2 covers... So what?! you might ask! But look closer.... Mega Man has got a gun instead of his usual firearm! The Japanese boxes are different and there Mega Man has got a firearm. Why is that? This is because Capcom of America changed the boxes for the US release to "americanize" Mega Man and make him more popular in the US, and I guess a gun looked cooler than a firearm. (The japanese Manga style pictures use on the japanese boxes weren´t widely accepted over there yet). Fact is that Capcom of America continued to replace the japanese boxes of all the Mega Man games with american artwork until the release of Mega Man 8! (On the later americanized art he got a firearm.) On the these two covers Mega Man has also got a visor, which I don't think I'v eseen ano any Japanese artwork...
