The Game Boy was invented by Gunpei Yokoi and released in Japan in 1989. It´s the most succesful hand held machine ever and has sold in over 60 million copies. in 1996 Nintendo released an improved GB called the GB Pocket and with the help of the hugely popular Pocket Monsters, the GB Pocket outsold the N64 last year (-97) in Japan, selling incredible 10 million copies!
