One night one of the dolls in a little Mushroom Kid's toy collection comes to life...

Introduction

GeCV no is in fact a creature from the Star Road who borrows the body of a blue doll named "Geno", to help Mario fight against the Smithys. He real name is not possible to pronounce in our language so therefore he just uses the Dolls name instead.

When Mario comes to one of the Muhsroom villages and enters the house, a small kid pleads Mario to play with his 3 small dolls, Mario, Bowser and Geno. When playing with the kid, Mario is knocked unconscious and at night when everbody is a sleep, a magical light comes (the Star Road creature) and borrows the Geno-doll's body. The creature joins Mario and Mallow shortly after.
"Geno" is, just like Mallow a very powerful magician. His Geno Flash and Geno Blast magics are dreaded by his enemies and with his powerful rod he can unleash many devastating attacks as well as defensive attacks like Geno Boost.

Mario Meets Geno
Mario and Mallow meets Geno the magician.

Trivia
--Geno's real name was different in the Japanese version of Super Mario RPG, being a truly unpronounceable series of symbols never used elsewhere in the Japanese game.

--When Geno uses a Special Move, a red star is shown over his body. Possibly the same red star from Star Road?

--Geno's real name is ♥♪!?. [Unpronounceable]

--Geno's name in Japanese looks something like this: Geno's Name

--
According to Belome, Geno tastes bitter, but not bad.

Cameos
Geno also made a small cameo in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Geno's doll form [or perhaps a separate, robotic verion of it] makes a small cameo in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Sagga. He appears as the mechanical host of the Star 'Stache Smash arcade games in Little Fungitown. It is unknown is this is the same Geno or not.
