Bowser has taken over the Mushroom Kingdom - he's kidnapped Princess Toadstool and is holding her in one of seven hotels in the kingdom. Only you and Mario can free the Princess but you'll have to battle Koopas, Para Bombs, Banzai Bill, Spiney, Montey, Pat the Bat and other nefarious nasties!

This is what you can read on the
front of the CD case to this mysterious Mario game, made entirely by Philips Fantasy Factory.

The story is as follows: Bowser has kidnapped Peach and built seven large hotels in the Mushroom Kingdom. One for each of his Koopakids. Bowser has hidden Peach somewhere in those seven hotels and have challenged Mario and Luigi to go look for her.

In each and every one of the hotels, Mario must check all the doors to see if Peach is there. Obviously she won't be, but you have to check every door in the hotel before you can proceed to the next. Behind closed doors Mario can also find certain power ups that can help him such as the Super Mushroom and the Fire Flower. Crawling around the levels are Bowser's nasties. To avoid them Mario can jump , duck, escape through doors, use elevators, or shoot fireballs at them. Mario can also find a Starman and be invincible.
Throughout the hotels are also cleverly designed traps that Mario must avoid.

The enemies:
Goomba - The regular Bowser nasty. One jump and he's out.
Koopas -
The turtle like enemies appear here as well.
Wiggler. Mario must jump on his head several times to kill of this worm.
Parabomb. They come in parachutes from above and land on a random floor. There they walk around a while before they blow.
Mini Ninja - These black enemies hide in some doorways and attacks Mario when he least expects it!
Buzzy Beetle - The beetles from Super Mario Bros 3 appear here too.
Spiny - The spikes on this beetle's back makes it 'unstompable'.
Flying Koopa (Para Koopa) - They fly all over the screen.
Flying Goomba - This Goomba can fly, but only between floors.
Banzai Bill - When you hear a sound of a cannon firing on of these big Bullet Bills will soon appear!
Boo Buddies - The classic ghost enemy.
Big Boo - Bigger but slower than the Boo buddie.
Skeleton Koopa - Remember the bone Koopas from some of the fortresses in Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World? They're back, and just like in the other games they can't be killed by jumping on them. He will fall into a pile of bones but come to life soon again. The only way too kill him is to shoot him with fireballs or run into him with a Starman.
Pat the Bat - This little bats live under the bottom floor in some hotels and fly upwards.
Mecha Koopa - The mechanical Koopas that Bowser throws after Mario in Super Mario World makes a comeback here. Now they can open doors. As usual you can jump on him, but he will only be stunned for 2 seconds. Eventually he will wind down and stop.
Bellhop - These are faster than regular Goombas and turns randomly.
Rhinestone Goomba - A regular Goomba, except that these can open doors.
Z Koopa - This tuxedo-wearing Koopa fly around on the screen in a complex pattern.

One of the hotels. If you look closely you can spot Mario in the middle of the picture.
