Mario Bros is the game were Mario´s identity and his abilities and
enemies shapes up. It is also the game first game where Mario really is
a plumber and his brother Luigi makes his first appearance here too. Mario
and Luigi jumps around on the screen and must defeat all the nasties that
comes out from the pipes . They do that by, not jumping on them like in
other Mario games but jumping under the platform that they are standing
on. The nastie will then land on it´s back and Mario or Luigi can then
go and beat the crap out of them. This game also appears as a Sub-game
in SMB3.
The Koopa Troopas makes their first appearance here
too under the name "shell creepers" and the "Pow block" are also presented
for the first time which enables Mario to "hit" all enemies on screen at
once. The "Power block" also appears later in both SMB 2 and SMW 2.
