In what some might call Zelda 4.5, Link is shipwrecked on
Koholint Island. This island holds much mystery for Link as he
must battle through 10 dungeons (The 9 Instrument Dungeons, the
Color Dungeon, and the "Egg") and wake the Windfish to
leave. Link wakes up in the home of his new found friends Marin
and Tarin, residents of Mabe Village. They give him his shield
and direct him on where to go next. They're also good for helping
solve mysteries and such along the way. Along his journey, Link
meets another helpful dude, known as the owl. This friendly (yet
sometimes creepy) owl directs you on where to go next, how to do
some things, and so on and so forth.
Since
this game is almost the same as Zelda 4, I'll just focus on the
two or three new things that have popped up. First off, there's
the Camera Shop located near Tal Tal Hights. Here, you will meet
the Camera Mouse who will take 12 printable* pictures of you on
your journeys throughout Koholint Island. Second off, there's the
new Color Dungeon (from here on I'll refer to it as the CD). You
may only access the CD with the Game Boy Color. There is also a
trick to getting in which, so as that not to take your fun away,
I will not reveal. Once inside the CD, you'll experience 22 new
rooms of previously unplayed fun and excitement.

Zelda 4 sure looks much more fun in color!
Since a lot of you may have been shocked (even I was) when you
saw my "Sound" rating of 50%, I'll explain it. Had I
reviewed the original one, I would have given it a much, much
better grade. But to put it bluntly, the Game Boy Color's sound
is horrible. First off, to turn it up you switch down; to turn it
down, you switch it up. Second off, when you switch it all the
way down (which turns it up), it sounds like only 40% of the
original Game Boy's sound (Nintendo used a much smaller speaker
for this model). Thanks for reading. - Mike McCue 98%
