REVIEW: Pokemon Stadium 2001, Nintendo 64

Yes Pokemon is a dieing fad, first people would act as Pokemon and smash each other with "ko" moves, I sat there and watched as a kid got a concussion from a take down attack. One kid snapped on the other because the other kid used his water gun attack, if you ask me it didn't hurt very much as to the slash attack the other kid got.

My oh my when I bought Pokemon red I wanted to battle at school so badly, but my mom would say no *** I wont allow you to, there are too many dangers out there and people would steal your game boy.

It was a true statement.

Ok, to hell with this long story short I ended up playing Pokemon stadium my friend let me borrow. And I must say they were quite desperate to make it a good game.

There are many things to do in Pokemon stadium, first and foremost is the stadium were tournaments take place, the dodrio tower is were your gb Pokemon come to fight, kids club is a minigame place and a lot of them are maybe play it twice then screw it type. The free battle allows you to play with your friends on a tag-team basis. The tower is were you fight the Pokemon gym leaders and elites. You must beat the minions before you can fight the trainer. Prof oak's lab is were you can organize your pokedex, inventory and such and such. And then after hard work and training mewtwo awaits your arrival, he knows blizzard so keep that in mind.

When you fight battles the first big flaw comes, WHAT THE &*^ IS WRONG WITH THE SOUND? Each Pokemon sounds so stupid from the show e.g. bulbasaur makes a noise like maaaam. Then of course there is the commentator who's annoying like hell. I'm trying to think who to bring out next and the announcer is like "what's the matter trainer? And the trainer hasn't issued an order". Ok graphics are very smooth, hardly any polygonal errors, I pray porygon doesn't count. This game has a lot in it including a gallery were you can snap pictures like Pokemon snap, or should I say Pokemon crap. But it is boring repetitive and your enemy is a freakin mind reader.

This game may be a bit good but in my eyes I hate it it is boring and everyone always has to choose venasaur Charizard and blastoise. Figures. - JJ_gamer 41%
