REVIEW: Donkey Kong 3 1986 NES, 1984 Arcade

Here, DK has climbs up some ropes in the middle of the screen. The aim of the game is to force DK up the screen by spraying him with insect spray and forcing him up to the next level. Swarms of bees and other insects attack the hero, Stanley the Bug Man (Mario´s cousin). Stanley is armed with a deadly-insect spray that he can use kill to the attacking insects. Maybe this doesn´t sound too exciting, but, in reality, DK 3 is the best of the three DK games. It´s quite fun to try to get higher scores, but sadly DK 3 is a little lacking in the variety-department due to the limited number of insects enemies and the fact that the stages all look the same. Still, it´s the best of the three Donkey Kong games and quite a good game on its own. - Mattias Liedholm 67%
