REVIEW: Donkey Kong 3 1986 NES, 1984 Arcade

Here, DK has climbed up some ropes in the middle of the screen. The aim of the game is to force DK up the screen by spraying him with insectspray and getting him up to the next level. Swarms of bees and other insects attack the hero, Stanley the Bug Man (Mario´s cousin). Stanley is armed with a gigantic-insectspray that he can kill them with. Maybe this doesn´t sound too exciting, but in fact DK 3 is the best of the three DK games. It´s quite fun to try to get higher and higher scores, but sadly DK 3 lacks a little in the variety-department due to the limited number of different insects and the fact that the courses all look the same. Still, it´s the best of the three Donkey Kong games and quite good game on its own. - Mattias Liedholm 67%
