Mega Man 7 has no relation to the X series at all. Just to let you know. The story: Dr. Wily has finally been arrested, but at Dr. Wily's lab, four robots awoke with out being contacted and began searching for their master. So now, Dr. Wily is on the loose, and it is up to Mega Man to stop him. Two new characters are revieled, Bass and Treble.

The gameplay is one of the best, following the previous games. You go around shooting, jumping, climbing, and even flying for a few seconds. Once you defeat one of Dr. Wily's robot masters, you acquire that weapon. There is 8 robot masters just like all Mega Man games. Mega Man can also call on Rush, a robot dog. Rush can be used as a spring to help you jump up higher, a jet to travel far, and also a new feature in the MM series, R. Search. Rush will start digging where ever you called him to. Most of the time he digs up trash, but sometimes a few items can be found. Also, the Rush Adapter is back from Mega Man 6 (NES). The Rush Adapter enables you to fly for a few seconds and shoot out your fist at an enemy. Beat the bird is also back.
Many new features and additions are added in Mega Man 7. The first big thing is, instead of getting just life and weapon pellets when destroying any little fiend, you could get a bolt. The more bolts the better, they are like money. By pressing select on the Menu screen, you are taken to Eddy's. At Eddy's, you give a certain number of bolts to Auto, and he will make the item you selected. Such as an Energy Can or Weapon Can. In some levels you can meet Proto Man, Mega Man's brother. He gives you some hints, but will also give you his Proto Shield if you find all 3 of his locations. The Proto Shield reflects all normal blast.

Now, to the graphics. I think the graphics are awesome. Very vivid and colorful. Animations are the best of the Mega Man series. They had specific animations that are used only once in the entire game. Most games use the same animation to do different actions. But not here. The only complaint for me was his running animations were a little weird.
The music follows the Mega Man series. Mega Man music just has that mood to it. But the sound effects are average, some annoying.
Mega Man 7 is a very joyful sequal to the series. A very colorful, graphical
Mega Man not seen from the NES. With new characters, features, weapons, this
is a great game for Mega Man fans and Platform fans alike! -
