Below is a list of NintendoLand rules and guidelines that you are expected to know and follow. Any violation of these rules will be met with accordingly, this is to help ensure a safe and friendly community for everyone. Note that while the list does give an idea of what's expected, the staff do get the final say on rule violations and disciplinary actions. As a member of the site, you will be expected to accept their decisions.

Flaming / Bashing is to attack someone verbally online. Insults, bigotry, name-calling, or any outright hostility directed at a specific person. We do not support flaming & bashing, so it is not allowed at NintendoLand.

Trolling is the anti-social act of causing of interpersonal conflict and shock-value controversy online. We do not support trolling, so it is not allowed at NintendoLand.

Please refrain from posting offensive content. Links & images to porn, hentai, graphic images, and hate sites will be removed and violations will follow.

Hotlinking is described as posting an image from non-image hosting websites (deviantART is a non-image hosting website). Please use our uploader at the top to upload an image to avoid hotlinking.

Please refrain from making more than one account on NintendoLand. We can tell when you have made multiple accounts. For family members, send a Private Message one of the staff to let them know a family member is going to join.

When using work from an other artist, follow copyright rules and allow users to see clearly that the work is not yours. Claiming someone's work as your own is strictly prohibited here at NintendoLand. Respect the artists and their art.

Please do not impersonate other members on the forum. Whether it's trying to convince other members you are someone else, or making an alternate account similar to the other members. See 1.07.

Please refrain from posting personal information on NintendoLand. The "Location" profile field should not pinpoint your location, that is, if you want to use your real location in the first place. If you wish to give out personal information, please do it outside our site.

Advertising on NintendoLand will not be tolerated. Links to sites like Youtube will not be counted as advertising. If you have something you think might be advertising, contact a staff member, they'll be happy to assist you.

If you wish to bump a topic, whether recent or old, please make sure to actually contribute to that topic, rather than replying with "Bump!"

Please refrain from posting in as many places as possible within a short amount of time. We have set a flood limit to ensure this isn't violated. Multiple posts with little content is also considered flooding.

Please do not pile up threads with unnecessary BBcode and smilies. If you are making a large thread where BBcode is necessary, that's fine. However, spamming threads with multiple images, spoilers, text color, and excessive smilies is prohibited. BBcode is meant to decorate and emphasize a post, not destroy it.

If you see another user violating the rules, please use the report button that will let the staff know of the violation.

Please check to make sure the same topic hasn't been made recently. Use our search feature to look for said topic. Use common sense whether to post in the current topic, or to post a new one.

Do not constantly thank every post you come across. Abusing the thank system will result in the privileges being removed. Do not constantly exchange thanks with another member. Thank posts that actually deserve a thanks.

Signatures are to be no wider than 658px, and no taller than 200px. Avoid using spoiler tags, audio, and youtube BBcodes in your signature. Users violating this rule will have their signatures edited accordingly in addition to the penalties below.

Avatar's can be a maximum of 174px by 174px. See 1.06 about linking avatars.

All signatures apply to the same rules as stated in 1- General Rules, with the exception of 2.04.

You may place several links advertising a website in a signature at any given time. Avoid making the font size too big.

Avoid uploading illegal material, porn, hentai, and other offensive material.

Please consider the size of the file before you upload it. Anything over a few mega-bytes shoudn't be uploaded. Exception being profile music.

Do not upload things to NintendoLand targeted for use on other websites. The things you upload should be used exclusively on NintendoLand.
