		Welcome to Planet Zebes. This site is dedicated to the classic NES 8-bit game METROID. Most of the material presented by this site may appear cryptic for the common layman. There aren´t much people doing Metroid 1 sites so this is probably one of the most extensive fan-sites on the net. This site features a complete creature database and much more. If you want to know how the password system works this is the place to find out. This page is the handywork of Niklas Jansson, who is the author of the pictures, text and coding of this site. Planet Zebes in no way official or sponsored by Nintendo. The purpose of this page is to compile and present Metroid 1 information in an enjoyable way. My modem crashed so I couldn´t make that very special millenium update. Planet Zebes is probably going to move to nintendoland.com in a near future. I´ve got my new PIII 500 some days ago and I had to download ftp, icq and zip programs all over again. Whee, lots of fun.

Yesterdays update was actually made today cuz it got a bit late. The message board had some ugly predefined layout and stuff that I didn´t like. I decided to go for a guestbook instead. Some work on the Ripper autopsy was done.

Tried to get up at 8 am. Discipline at low levels. Got up at 12. Some minor adjustments done and some still remaining. The pictures seem to work fine. Uploaded the site to the server. Christ! I forgot to put the password link on the main menu!

After series of minor graphic updates I finally decided to rewrite everything and add some more features. The earlier versions had to much of flashy javascript buttons and huge illos, and it didn´t really fit into a 800*600 window either. About 90% of the new HTML is written. Getting late, I´ll just have to finish it tomorrow.

After one month of hard work with the password system and the creature database I managed to put Planet Zebes on the net, 3 days ahead of the deadline -first of July.
