Swords and Shields

Item Name | How To Get it | What it does |

Kokiri Sword
How to Get It: You start with it.
Purpose: Well...it's a sword...you hit things with it.

Razor Sword
How to Get It: Give Kokiri sword and 100 rupees to Mountain Smithy.
Purpose: Deals double damage, but breaks after 100 hits. Can't be taken back in time.

Gilded Sword
How to Get It: Give Gold Dust (from Goron Races) and Razor Sword to Mountain Smity.
Purpose: Deals triple damage, and never breaks. CAN be taken back in time.

Great Faerie's Sword
How to Get It: Collect all 15 faeries in the Stone Tower and take them to the Ikana Faerie Fountain.
Purpose: Is a C-button item. Has wide range, but you can't use your sheild when it's equipped.

Hero's Shield
How to Get It: You start with it.
Purpose: You...defend yourself with it, because...it's a shield.

Mirror Shield
How to Get It: Found in treasure chest at the end of the Bottom of the Well.
Purpose: When you're in a sun beam, you can use this to reflect light.

Ranged Weapons

Hero's Bow
How to Get It: Prize for defeating Lizalfos in Woodfall temple.
Purpose: Allows you to use arrows. Regular Arrows can flip eye and crystal switches. Also hurts enemies.

Fire Arrows
How to Get It: Prize for defeating Wizrobe in Snowhead Temple.
Purpose: Allows you to use fire arrows. Fire Arrows trip frozen eye switches, light braziers, melt ice, burn webs, and burn curtains. Causes more damage to enemies.

Ice Arrows
How to Get It: Prize for defeating Wort in Great Bay Temple.
Purpose: Allows you to use ice arrows. Ice arrows freeze enemies and water falls, and make temporary ice burgs in waterfalls.

Light Arrows
How to Get It: Prize for defeating Garo Master in Stone Tower Temple.
Purpose: Allows you to use Light Arrows. Light Arrows destroy sun locks and sun switches, the same as reflected light.

Hookshot
How to Get It: Found in Great Bay Gerudo Fortress.
Purpose: Allows Link to target certain objecs and pull himself towards them to pick up items from a distance, or to stun/damage/pull in enemies.

Major Items

Ocarina of Time
How to Get It: On the 3rd night, confront the Skull Kid at Clock Tower, and shoot him with a bubble .
Purpose: Allows you to play songs.

Bomber's Notebook
How to Get It: Play the hide-and-go-seek game and/or enter the observatory, then get from the Bombers.
Purpose: Allows you to partice pate in 20-count 'em, 20- optional side quests, and records the schedules of the involved characters.

Pictograph Box
How to Get It: Save Koume in the Woods of Mystery, then take the Swamp Cruise.
Purpose: Allows you to photograph any scene in the game. Show photographs to the judge to receive items and stuff.

Lens of Truth
How to Get It: Follow Kepola Gebola's feathers to the floating cave outside Goron Village.
Purpose: Allows you to see hidden stuff, but drains your magic power ever-so-slowly.

Event Items

Moon's Tear
How to Get It: Observe the falling moon from the Astral Observatory telescope, go outside & pick it up.
Purpose: Trade this item to the Akindo Nut in South Clock Town for the Land Title Deed.

Inn Key
How to Get It: Talk to Anju in the Stock PotInn right before Link the Goron comes in.
Purpose: Allows yoou to enter the Inn at any time, allows you to enter "your" room at the Inn.

Memorial Pendant
How to Get It: After you sneak into Kafei's home, he will ask you to deliver this to Anju.
Purpose: Personally deliver this to anju, so that she knows Kafei's alive. Allows you to continue the Anju/Kafei sidequest.

Letter to Kafei
How to Get It: Talk to Anju in the Stock Pot Inn after 2 on the 1st day, come back later at 11:30 PM.

How to Get It: Give the Great Bay Deku Scrub the Mountain Village Dead.
Purpose: Give to the Ikana Valley Deku Scrub.

Bottles

Bottles
#1: Talk to Kotake after locating Koume in the Lost Woods.
#2: Win the Goron Race.
#3: Complete Romani's ghost hunt sidequest.
#4: Beat the Beaver races.
#5: On Day 3, Use Dampé to dig holes so that the Big Poe appears. Defeat the Big Poe.
#6: Deliver Kafei's express mail to Madame Aroma.
Purpose: To hold things.

Potions
How to Get It: Talk to Kotake in Southern Swamp.
Purpose: Red restores life, green restores magic, and blue restores both.

Milk
How to Get It: Get into Romani Ranch day 1, help Romani defend the ranch.
Purpose: Recovers 5 hearts twice.

Gold Dust
How to Get It: Defeat Goht, and win the Goron races
Purpose: Allows you to forge the Gilded Sword.

How to Get It: After defeating Goht, talk to Biggoron and get your certification. You can now buy one.
Purpose: An extra-strong bomb that can destroy boulders and the Ikana Castle Skylight.

Magic Beans
How to Get It: Beneath the Deku Palace, a man sells them for 10 rupees a pop.
Purpose: Plant and water, and they'll grow into floating leaves.

Purpose: Allows you to hold up to 500 rupees.

Bigger Quiver
How to Get It: Score 40 or more in the Clock Town Shooting Gallery or a perfect at the Swamp Road shooting gallery.
Purpose: Allows you to hold up to 40 arrows.

Biggest Quiver
How to Get It: Win the other game from the Bigger Quiver requirement.
Purpose: Allows you to hold up to 50 arrows.

Bomb Bag
How to Get It: Purchase for 50 rupees at the Clock Town Bomb Shop.
Purpose: Allows you to find and use up to 20 bombs.

Big Bomb Bag
How to Get It: Save the old woman from the burglar in North Clock Town, then buy it later.
Purpose: Allows you to hold up to 30 bombs.

Biggest Bomb Bag
How to Get It: Trade in Big Bomb Bag and 200 rupees to the Akindo Nut near goron city. Must be a Goron.
Purpose: Allows you to hold up to 40 bombs.
