Kakariko Village

After you've pulled the master sword out of the Pedestal of Time, you will wake up after seven years in the Temple of Light as adult Link. There, Rauru the sage will give you the Light Medallion. After he gives you this, you'll descend in a pillar of blue light to meet the mysterious man, Sheik. Sheik will tell you of a new skill you need to have in order to enter your first goal, the Forest Temple, and he will direct you to Kakariko village. After you talk to Sheik, you may realize that you can't use many of the items you used as a kid, like the boomerang, slingshot, masks, magic beans, and deku sticks. Now, go out to Hyrule field through the now Redead infested Market, and head to Kakariko. Note: Careful! These Redeads can't freeze you with their screams but they can still suck the life out of you. If you walk around and talk to the villagers they will give you clues as to where to go next but if you have trouble with that then go to the Graveyard and pull back the tombstone which is closest to the patch of soft soil (if you've planted a seed there it'll be a flat bush which will take you to the piece of heart on the ledge up above). Fall down the revealed hole and talk to Dampe the Gravedigger's ghost. He'll challenge you to a race to see if you're as quick as he is. You don't have to actually beat him (because you can't), you just have to keep up with him and not let the doors he passes through slam on your face. If you make it all the way he will present to you the Hookshot. Now, this is a fun little item. With this, you can easily aim at things with the mounted laser pointer, let it fly, and hook onto a hookable (is that a word?) object. Note: The Hookshot isn't as long as you might like it but rest assured that there is much longer version of the Hookshot later in the game called the LongShot. Now, go through the door up ahead and you'll meet up with some big blue blocks. Easily get rid of these by playing the Song of Time. Go up the steps and you'll end up in the windmill. Find the music man in there and he'll start complaining about what you did in the past, or better yet, what you're going to do in the past. Bring out your Ocarina and he'll reveal the Song of Storms to you. This song will be useful in revealing holes to you, making fairies appear, and many other things.
