Ever wonder about when The Grand Adventures opened or about other various milestones? Well, just in case, we've created this section just for you. Read things that you may already know, and many others that you didn't.
  • The Grand Adventures launched June 14th, 1998 by John Rogos. While hits were low at first, about five hits a day, more people began to discover it through word of mouth, mostly due to the Interactive section.
  • By the fall of 1998, The Grand Adventures began to appear on the lists of top Zelda sites, by readers and fellow webmasters.
  • As the release of The Ocarina of Time neared in November, hits began to reach an all time high of more than three hundred each day.
  • Finally, after months of searching, The Grand Adventures finally got a staff artist on hand, Yachiyo Underwood, in January of 1999. Her superb talent at recreating the feel of The Legend of Zelda series has gained her the recognition as one of the top artists in the Zelda community.
  • The February, The Online Zelda Encyclopedia was announced to be in development as the first of its kind. Hyrule: The Land of Zelda soon signed onto the project not long after.
  • The OZE was finally launced June 14th 1999, one year after the opening of the site, along with a third Interactive story. It was a huge success.
  • August of 1999 was a huge milestone. Nintendo of America recognized The Grand Adventures as one of the top Legend of Zelda websites on the internet, placing a link to it at their official website. This accomplishment has only been achieved by two other sites, The Zelda Headquarters and Link's Shadow.
  • September 19th 1999, The Grand Adventures not only became an affiliate of Nintendoland, but also premiered a new design which was highly praised by readers.
  • Circa June 2000, John Rogos leaves The Grand Adventures having completed most of the work upon the website he wished to see done.
  • Circa September 2000, The Grand Adventures was given to Tiberio to webmaster to continue the site's updates.
  • May 2001 brought a great change where The Missing Link and Pigeon5 (now Gandalf the Grey) were made webmasters and continued actively updating The Grand Adventures.
  • In the summer of 2001, our artist Princess of Darkness came on board and began creating artwork for the site. In addition, it brought about two new features of the site: David Linkerman's Top Ten List as well as the Book of Mudora.
  • In the early part August of 2002, The Missing Link retired from webmastering and became an advisor for TGA. Gandalf the Grey retained his position.
  • In mid-2003, Gandalf the Grey retired as well, leaving Link Masaki as caretaker of the site.
  • On February 1st, 2004, instead of closing the site for good, The Missing Link returned to continue the legacy of the site.
