New Minish Cap Screens

Odd yet still beautiful at the same time!

Five new screenshots of The Minish Cap have been posted up over at Planet Gamecube.

The most interesting feature of the screenshots are the environments that are displayed. One screen is of Link standing on a cloud, with a bean sprout nearby indicating how he got up there in the first place. Another shot has Link, mini-sized, on a shelf, surrounded by large volumes of books, some of which have ladder wrungs on their spines, and one book which even seems to have a door in it.

Also, two items for Link in Minish are introduced; one appears to be the Cane of Somaria about to create a magic block. The other seems to be a gauntlet of some sort--possibly the Power Glove--although in that screen, there appears to be a mirror copy of Link echoing his actions. It's possible the gauntlet has to do with this double, so we'll have to wait a while before we can tell what the gauntlet/glove actually does.

Finally, the screenshots further confirm that the button scheme for Minish will resemble the one in the GBA Link to the Past; R for Actions, B for sword, and A for other items. That's it for now!
