A Hero Dies

A hero lies dying,
Alone and despised.
His life has no meaning.
He begs only to die.

A hero sits crying,
Thinking, he sighs.
Hoping and praying.
That he might die.

A hero stands, watching
The world pass him by.
Alone and uncaring,
Perhaps he shall die.

The suffering, the pain,
The hatred and lies,
Our hero keeps watching,
Begging to die.
