Ballad to Link By: Josh Well I used to wake the morning before the cucoo crows.
Searching for milk bottles to get myself some doe. I'd bring them down the corner to the country store cash them in. And give my money to a hero named Link. Old Link was a white man with white straight hair. When he had a fifth of milk and did not have a care. He used to only know melodies used to play acrossed his mouth. I'd give Link my money and he'd play all day for me. Play me a song Link I got your drink and money now tune up your do do. He lived to about 60 and maybe I was ten. My mom would work me but I'd go see him again. I'd clap my hands stomp my feet to stay in town. Play me a song Link I got your drink and money now tune up your do do. On the day old Link died no one came to pray. Old preach said some words. And tossed him in the clay. Well he lived a life time playing the Hyrulian Blues. And on the day he lost his life that's all he had to give. Play me a song Link I wish you was here so everyone would know. People say you were useless those people are the fools. Cause Link your the finest player to ever play the Hyrulian Blues. |
