Gosh, has it been this long since I updated? Erf. Excuse for last week: big project that was due. Excuse for this week: midterms. Thankfully that's all done and the weekend is looking relatively clear. I promise promise promise a Book of Mudora chapter up by the weekend's end.

I'm baaaaaack! And with a brief news article on the 'new' Special Edition Legend of Zelda being released for the GBA, too! (You can read it here.)

Yes, it really took me long enough, huh? (Horrid, Silvie, horrid!) I have my excuses, though: mountains of projects and tests in time for my final Grade 12 midterm (eek, university is coming!), a really bad cold/flu bug and trying to squeeze in time to do community committee work as well as help arrange my school's prom. Goodness. Well, thankfully there are two great guys also in the News section (Thank you guys! Thank you!) so I can fall down over my other schedule details without you guys missing any interesting Zelda info. ^_^ Phew!

Lots of updates today. Both Ganonguy and Hero of Winds have updates for you, and you should take a look over at both of them. Very good stuff.

Now, for the secret project that I've been talking about. If you haven't noticed it by now, then you probably don't have the entire page loaded yet. Yes, the theme music has changed for the main page. Long-time readers of Z:TGA will remember that I personally created the remix to the Gerudo Valley theme that's been on the site for ages. I got inspired last week to create a new remix of a Zelda theme, and so I picked my favourite music from The Wind Waker, the Dragon Roost theme. As such, "Medli of Dragon Roost" will be the new TGA theme song. "Gerudo Remix" is still available in The Book of Mudora section, but I figured what better way to celebrate 1.75 million than to give you this song. You can also download it from the MIDIs section of the website. I hope you enjoy it!

Hey y'all, it's HoW again. In my ongoing attempt to prove useful to TGA, I've posted an article! Read it and enjoy/hate/have mixed feelings on it! Go now!

~Hero of Winds

Hey everyone, it's me again. I'd just like to say that the response to the restarting of Say What? and David Linkerman was outstanding. You people are lucky that my inbox is the size of a Hawaiian island or else I'd be annoyed! Seriously, it was a lot of fun to read through all of them and don't feel bad if yours didn't get picked this time around, because it was incredibly difficult for me to just pick out a few faves. Keep up the side-splitting, guys!

Okay, maintenance on the OZE. Mainly I changed the Locations format a bit. Though there are not really any new entries, I did end up rewriting a bunch of them as I went. Expect some more soon.

Thursday, April 15, 2004

Late again. The excuse of the week: Easter. And the secret project is loaded onto the server. It won't be linked to until Saturday though; that's when the magical page hit counter reaches 1.75 million. (Gosh that seems a huge number.)

The Book of Mudora's twentieth chapter, "The Sea of Dreams," is up and raring to go. A couple of things about my book before I go on. You'll also notice the table of contents is taking on a slightly different look; I figured I'd go ahead and sort the chapters by game for practical and aesthetic reasons; after all, I've got at least 25 more chapters to go, and I honestly think I'm guessing low. So yes, it looks prettier. More useless trivia for the day; if I were actually able to make The Book of Mudora into a paperback novel, counting today's chapter, the book would already be 153 pages long. Lastly, you'll also notice that there's music on the table of contents page... hmmm...

Also, long-time fans will remember a website called The Desert Colossus. Well, apparently like us, it went through a period of hiatus just like we did. However, it is back, and is it. It's located at a new URL, so those who still have it bookmarked why want to change it in your favourites list! They're now one of our affiliates, and we're quite happy to have them on board with us.

Friday, April 9, 2004

Link Skywalker sent in an article about John Woo acquiring the rights to make a Metroid movie. Sure it's not Zelda, but hey, it's news while we're patiently waiting for the big E³ special. Be sure to read it!

The chapter for The Book of Mudora this week might be delayed because of Easter. (Happy early Easter out there to everyone who celebrates it!) I have an idea of what to write though, so it should be up by Monday or Tuesday. I'm also behind in E-mail, so those of you have sent me stuff, I probably have it. I'm just behind.

Also in the news, I just finished a secret project for the site for 1,750,000 site hits. (It seems a distinguished number to celebrate!) I hope you all will like it; it's nothing big, but it is a thank you to everyone who comes here. At the rate we're going, that should probably be around next weekend, so stay tuned!

Well, in a rare spurt of energy, I put together 34 entries for Creatures in the OZE, all from ALttP. Many thanks to Zelda Legends' Bestiary, which gave me the japanese names for certain nameless creatures as well as to remind me of ones I would have surely forgotten.

~ Masamune Negaduck: Same update at that other place...!?

Wednesday, April 7, 2004

I'm the new resident artist and very late with my greetings. I've been reading The Grand Adventures since I discovered the internet several years ago and it's a huge honour to be working here now. I'm sadly no professional but I'll do what I can to add my own mark on this amazing site. To the other new staff members here I'd like to say hi and wish them good luck.

Tuesday, April 6, 2004

Good news, everyone! You don't have to just send us hate mail now! Why? Because Say What? and David Linkerman are finally up and running again! And since this is all exclamations and questions, you know it's got to be good, so get cracking!!

~Ganonguy

The week hiatus is over. The Book of Mudora is back in action. Today I bring you Chapter 19, "Birds of a Feather". This actually was a difficult chapter to write, mainly because perhaps above all the Zelda characters, I relate to Zelda the most, or in this case, Tetra. I shan't say any more than that, so I hope you enjoy it.

On one final note, David Linkerman and Say What will probably be updated tomorrow or Thursday, so finally you'll be able to participate once again in the various activities of the site!

Monday, April 5, 2004

Hey all, it's HoW again. Realizing that I wasn't doing much for TGA (plus Masamune whipping me to do something) jogged my mind and allowed me to give life another part of this grand site! In other words, I did something. ^_^

Seeing as how I appear to be the only one here who has played Four Swords, I wrote up a section for said game in "The Games". Check it out and go buy the game! Well, until next time (i.e. when Masa gets impatient)!

Sunday, April 4, 2004

Well hello there guys and gals, this is your pilo- er, Interactive Director speaking, the one and only Ganonguy! Now, seeing how this is the last greeting, you'd think they were saving the best for last, right?

... Well, let's just assume that. Anyway, I hope that all of you not only like to laugh, but also love making people laugh too. I'm going to need some funny Say What's and Linkerman's in order to get this site's funny bone alive again! And who knows what else the future will bring in the field of humor? We'll all have to see, but hopefully none of you will be collecting social security by the time that stuff happens. Be seeing all of you later!

Friday, April 2, 2004

Some new entries... well old entries... in the OZE. I went through the old ones and selected 16 entries. I will be using more in the future, just not yet. Also, after a thorough GANNON-BAN from Hero of Winds, I switched the Staff of Byrna and Somaria to the Cane of Byrna and Somaria.

Thursday, April 1, 2004

Well, it's good old April Fool's Day. I've thought about all the nasty tricks I could play on you this year. Some things that crossed my mind were to shut down the website for the "last time," to post a fradulent chapter of the Book of Mudora, to yank away the titles of the staff members... and a real treat for those of you who know them (the forum-goers here and elsewhere should know), give up The Book of Mudora and have it continued by Mike Peters. However, I'm being nice this year. I'm bringing you stuff that my allies have sent me, so dig in and enjoy.

~ The Missing Link

Hello, I'm EA and I'll be your Fanfiction Director. I look forward to accepting and managing the fruits of your creative labor (wow, is that corny), so feel free to send me fanfiction and fanpoetry.

Happy writing and Zelda-ing!

-EA

Greetings all, LS here with some news. On march 24th the new producer of the Zelda series spoke at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) I've summarized his talk for your enjoyment. It can be viewed here! Also, I just got off IMs with a friend of mine within Nintendo of Japan. He leaked me some info the none other than The Wind Waker 2's storyline! Check it out!!!
