Okay, so I've been busy. Actually, spring quarter has started up, and since then I've already dropped a class because... well... the four I was taking was going to overload me. (Not good!) Anyways, I'm here to say, sorry, no Book of Mudora chapter this week. No, it's not writer's block. I just need a week off to be a little more stress-free than what I am right now.

The Staff page has been edited; I'm still waiting to get bios from EA and Ganonguy, so I'll get those to you very soon. I'm working on getting everyone oriented on their jobs this week, so very soon, I promise, I'll have the contact information for fanart, fanpoetry, fanfiction, fan-other stuff, editorials, David Linkerman, Say What, and everything else.

Wanted to say hello to all the new staff and... w-wait! Don't click Back yet! I've got content here guys! Yeah. Check out the OZE. It is completely revamped. But by no means done. At the moment, the old entries have not yet been placed in the encyclopedia. I'll be working on getting that done... in fact, I may have that done tonight or tomorrow. I will also soon be adding images to the encyclopedia too, so stay tuned for that as well.

Hello again, once more I'm here to congratulate and welcome all of the new staffers. Welcome all staffers, welcome and I'm sure you'll do TGA proud. And well, until we can coin a better term for what I do around here, I'm just the lowly "Advisor". I promise to work on not being quite so useless as I have been as of late. If you have any suggestions on what sorts of things I should take under my wing and work on or just any sort of comment in general, you know how to reach me.

- Link Masaki

Hey all, I'm Hero of Winds, one of your new writers. Some of you may know me, although I'm willing to bet most of you don't. Anyway, I'll be getting to work whenever something comes up I suppose, so expect some cool stuff by me in the future! Or at least something moderately interesting.......<_<

Anywho, expect some of my work in the near future, and I'll see you guys around. Or you'll see me, whichever. Here's hoping to a successful job at TGA!

~Hero of Winds

Greetings all, I'm Link Skywalker. Many of you have probably read my editorals, especialy since they dominated the editorial section. Well I'm back and I'm ready to get TGA up and running for you. I hope we can all have a good time doing this, and revive a bit of the orriginal zelda comunity in the process. Wakare no Toki for now!

Alright. The staff is finally decided. To all of you who I didn't reply to, your applications were wonderful! I wish I could have accepted all of you. But already, having a staff of eight including myself is going to be quite a task to manage! Perhaps soon we'll find a hole for a new staffer one of these days, and when that happens, you'll be sure I'll be coming to you to fill that hole. That said, let me issue my personal congratulations to those who are coming on board, and I present to you the entire staff of TGA:

Webmaster: The Missing Link
Asst. Webmaster: Masamune
Editor-in-Chief: Silverwind
Writers: Link Skywalker, Hero of Winds
Fanfiction Director: EA
Interactive Director: Ganonguy
Artist: Some Girl

I'll be trying to get them all to post their hellos very soon and then we'll get on with the rest of the site! Also I'll be getting E-mail addresses up for everyone and let you know who to contact you for what. And... maybe there'll be a Book of Mudora chapter this weekend too. :>

Thursday, March 25, 2004

Alright, I know I've been holding off the announcement for the new staffers for a while, much because I've been busier than I expected this spring break, but I'm going to stall a little bit more. All of the accepted staffers have been sent an E-mail just to confirm that they still wish to be on the TGA staff. If you received an E-mail, please let me know ASAP; for those of you who didn't, don't fret just yet, for someone might reconsider their position. With all luck, I will get that announcement out soon.

Also, there's a slight change in E-mail address for me. My new address is tml@mudora.com. Yes, if you send mail to my old address, it'll still work, but please update your address books if you have me on there. I promise this is the last change you'll ever have to make for my E-mail. Promise.

~ The Missing Link

Hey everybody! I'm not dead yet! Link Masaki is still on staff as TML's advisor. He's always been better than me at ruling TGA, so it's all good. If he ever decides to take a break, I'll always be here to take over while he's off and be caretaker. So congrats again to TML. And I want to extend a welcome back to my old fellow staffer, Silverwind. And I mustn't forget to congradulate our newest staffer Masamune, I'm quite glad to have you on board with us. So, again, I am here to say that I'm still around and I'm not going to leave (I even promise to try and get my butt in gear again and do more unlike when I was webmaster)and to welcome Silverwind and Masamune into the fold. And, a thought, perhaps I should convert to having a little moving sprite of my own rather than my traditional little signature. Tell me what you think and send me a little e-mail about it should you be so inclined. Well, see you guys around and keep on doing what you do best. We're all big fans of one of the best series to ever grace the video game industry ever and we know what's good. Ja!

In an effort to make myself look useful, I have updated the "Zelda GCN" page to the Wind Waker page under Games. Seeing as how it's only been exactly a year since it has been out, it only seemed right to do. (Oh yes, happy birthday Wind Waker!) With any luck, we'll get some pages up for Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures. Maybe even Master Quest too.

In the meantime, I'll go back working on the new Encyclopedia look.

~ Masamune

Chapter 18, "Whispers of the Triforce," of The Book of Mudora is now online. I have to admit I felt kind of odd writing this one; everyone should know by now that there is a so-called Wind Waker 2 coming out that is rumoured to be a direct sequel to the first, and so I'm encroaching on dangerous territory; knowing my luck, I'm going to be guessing wrong and forced to go back and rewrite tons of story. However, we will see; maybe Nintendo and I will be thinking the same thing. For the curious, Chapter 18 does reveal part of the reason about why I don't place The Wind Waker as the final game, so no worries. There are still plans to go to chapter forty-something.

Tuesday, March 23, 2004

Well, it's almost the next day, but I guess this still goes down on the same day. ^_^ Another news article is up-- it's very short 'n sweet, and you can find it here.

Since it's so brief, I'll just say most of it here: Nintendo of America has finally announced that the release date of Four Swords Adventures will be June 7th. For some reason though, they're not including Navi's Trackers in the whole deal. Odd, and sad too.

~ SilverWind

I am in the process of working on Chapter 18. For those of you concerned, no, The Wind Waker is not the last of The Book of Mudora. I actually have a very crafty way of hooking the next game, which shall remain a secret for now, into the story line.

As far as staff goes, the official deadline is over. I think I'm waiting for one application for Artist that I was told might be late from a good friend of mine, but otherwise, everything's final. I already have most of my decisions made, but I'm going to wait until I have them all decided before I post them, so quite possibly, that could be tomorrow.

Sunday, March 21, 2004

Aww, it's the day before March Break ends! *cries*

Anyways, I just uploaded an article about the next to-be-released Zelda game, Four Swords+. You can find it right here. As there are a lot of interesting facts about this game you might not know, I recommend you go read it! >_>() *coughs* Even if you won't read it, go find some pictures off of the Official Japanese site. The souped up graphics really look lovely.

By the way, I'll be doing little inkblot pictures from time to time in my articles. They only take a few seconds, are sorta (not really!) funny and nobody seems to mind, so all's good. ^_^

Saturday, March 20, 2004

Hiya everyone! This is your new editor-in-chief/head writer person, SilverWind! ^_^ Those who go to the VGF message boards may already know me and how loopy I am, so I guess those who don't should get this advance warning. ^_~ Anywhoo, I may be the editor, but I don't have a crew to edit yet, so I'll keep you posted when that happens (or TML will, I guess)! I do like to ramble on, don't I? Anyways, I'll be writing about all things Zelda. If you want me to notice anything in particular and inform others about it, feel free to send me an e-mail here with the subject line reading "Grand Adventures" (or else my spam filter will catch it). Anyways, that's it for now!

Oh wait, that's a writer head, not a head writer... Hmm....

~ SilverWind

Hello! I am Masamune and I will be your new Assistant Webmaster. I run my own site called the Hitchhiker's Guide to Video Games, which is basically an encyclopedia for several games - including Zelda. In addition to other webmasterly duties - I will be helping out our Writers on the Encyclopedia by complimenting the current one... with my own.

At the moment I have no content to tease your appetites with, but I assure you... it will come. I'd also like to take this moment to welcome Silverwind and the other staff members who are forthcoming.

~ Masamune

Chapter 17 of The Book of Mudora, "To Restore His Courage," is done. It's the longest chapter to date. Now if you'll pardon me, I'm going to find a surface that closely resembles a bed and flop on it till morning.

~ The Missing Link

Thursday, March 18, 2004

Chapter 17 is still in the works. I almost have it done, but finals sapped my time more than I had anticipated. With all due luck, it should be up for tomorrow on Friday. It'll be another long one, so I hope you guys like it; it should take us all the way to just before the end of The Wind Waker.

In other news, I'd like to announce the new Assistant Webmaster of TGA -- Masamune. Masamune is a webmaster of his own site, a multi-themed Nintendo news and information site. He was an active member of the VGF forums before I was even at VGF, and so it is my privilege to announce him as part of the new staff. Secondly, I'm also announcing that one of the Editor-in-Chief (Head Writer) for the staff is Silverwind, a good friend of mine, a former staffer of TGA, and also a member and fellow moderator of VGF at the Zelda Forum. She's a wonderful person and is an aspiring writer, and she's hoping this is her chance to help hone her skills for the future. Both of them will be by soon to say their hellos.

Yes, the above announcements were made well before the deadline of the applications. However, these are the ONLY ones. If you still wish to be a member of the staff, you have until Monday Monday Monday!

Friday, March 12, 2004

Enter finals week. (Dun dun duuuun!) This coming week I've got two BIG tests: one on Monday and one on Wednesday. As such, this weekend's update may be tardy, but I'm going to try hard to get Chapter 17 out by Tuesday, but if it's not there, be patient with me. :) Chapter 17 should be a long one, and that'll get us most of the way through The Wind Waker.

Second, thank you for all the applications! I've already received numerous, and I'm glad to see them. Of course, we're still taking them through the deadline, so don't let the fact that I already have applications deter you from submitting one! Do remember to include all of the information for the position you're submitting for; some have forgotten parts of the submission, and forgetting pieces isn't a good thing. Just FYI.

On an unrelated note, for all those of you who feel the need to do so, I ask that you all pray for the families of those who died in the train bombing in Madrid, Spain. A very good friend of mine, now living in the U.S., used to live there last year and commute via those trains. Because of this, terrorism has stricken a personal chord for me. I'm of course angered by the actions of these people, as we all should be, but our first concern should be to pick up the pieces of the aftermath and put our lives back together once more. So please, pray for the families of Spain, that they may be able to somehow continue their lives after this incident, and may we all keep the hope alive that some day those who seek to carry political messages in the form of violence and death will experience justice.

We have a lot to cover, so here it goes.

1. Chapter 16, "The Promise to the King" of The Book of Mudora is up. For those of you who like long chapters, this one is extra long for you. This covers the first half of The Wind Waker. I had to write in a few... deviations from the actual game plot because I had to link the feel of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask in with The Wind Waker, and so if I'm slightly off on story, don't kill me. Please. And yes, it's long. If I made any spelling or grammar mistakes, especially around the middle, please let me know. I think I fell asleep revising that part. I also have to give my thanks to Zelda Legends for having the Wind Waker quoteFAQ available for me to use; that helped me out immensely!

2. We have a new link on the Links page. History of Hyrule. Go there. Or else.

3. Link Skywalker submitted to be a guest editorial; you can find it on the News page. No, this is not a request for guest editorials... YET.

4. Any of you who have talked to me personally or have been on the boards have been aware of the idle talk going around about me reactivating the entire TGA. Well, the rumour's false. YOU'RE going to help me reactivate TGA. Believe it or not, the day has arisen. I am looking for perhaps seven staff members for TGA. You can either click the link above or look at the hiring page in the Miscellaneous section. I might want to forewarn those who are drooling over the request for Assistant Webmaster; just because I've talked to you once or twice over instant messenger or E-mail doesn't automatically qualify you for the job. Also, do try and make sure applications have nearly flawless spelling and grammar (even though I only wrote that down for the Writers positions). That will drastically increase your chances of being hired. Good luck to everyone.

Monday, March 8, 2004

Usually I'd have the next chapter up by now, but the Muses didn't come to visit be tonight, so it looks like either tomorrow or Tuesday. However, you're in luck. All my homework is done, so I have nothing to stop me in getting it done. So yes... that'll come soon, along with another link or two or five. :)
