Eloze Updated; Site Still Closed
For all of you who have been asking me about the future of Eloze (and to a lesser extent The Book of Mudora), worry not. You might have read over at my final post on ZeldaBlog that I was going to create a new website to hold both stories among many others. Several of you have been asking me to let you know when this site is up. Let me clarify my stance on this:
Yes, when the new site is online, I will make sure to put up a news post here to point you to the new site.
No, I will not send you a personalised E-mail about it. I have too many things to remember as it is besides the people who read these stories.
At any rate, Eloze has been updated as the section entitled "Shadow's Mastery" has been completed. Despite the site being closed, I will put updates to Eloze on TGA as they are completed, even after the new site is completed.
As a minor note, I will be setting up a new fanfiction site--more of a personal project than much of anything else--to be a home to many a great fanfiction. The Book of Mudora and Eloze will both be housed there once it is complete. Until that time, updates will be made here, but no other updates will ever appear on TGA (unless I have a miraculous change of heart).
OMG An Update!
You've all been bugging me about updating. The TML is here to provide. Don't never say the TML didn't do nothing for ya's.
First off, as per what you've been hoping for, Eloze has been updated as Dark Link finished up "The Far Sea" a bit ago. There's 19 chapters in that stretch of the novel, and it's pretty good stuff from what I skimmed through, so I think you'll enjoy it. Also, if you'd like to be on the mailing list for Eloze, you'll want to E-mail "quillandlauren at yahoo dot com" and put "ELOZE E-mail List" in the Subject line; that as well as this site will keep you in the loop on Eloze.
The Missing Link Is Missing?
Alright. It goes without saying that I haven't updated TGA in the past few months. Despite publicly announcing that TGA is on hiatus and that I can be found over at ZeldaBlog, I've received countless E-mails about my "vanishing" and why there have been no updates here. Some of those E-mails have been respectful in tone; some have been less than respectful. To those in the former category, thank you for checking up on me; for those in the latter, I can say with assurance that you are certainly not hastening my return to TGA.
Since this is the case, I figure that at least an update on my life (the thing that is preventing TGA from taking place) is in order...
Busy busy busy
First and foremost, my apologies for my slight disappearance since E3. There haven't been any updates since, and Masa and I have been completely silent save for the few E-mails that we've been answering. So let me explain what's going on here.
Masa's computer is broken, so he can't make any significant changes to the site. As for me, the story is a bit more complicated.
Zelda Trailer
First off, greetings everyone from ZeldaBlog! Sorry that you have to run through here to download the trailer, but they've got direct-link protection here that I forgot to account for. Anyways, straight from Nintendo, we've got new artwork, screenshots, and a trailer!
Art and More
Alright... sorry for the great delay in updates. Work has been more nightmarish for me than the norm, and so I had zero time last week to update. I'd love to say the worst is over, but I'd be lying.
We have tons of new fanart today, so please take a look. We have a lot of very nice pieces!
Also, this coming week is E3. News will be coming fast and furious this coming week, and you should expect to hear details both about Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass. I'm planning a live-blog of the Nintendo conference at ZeldaBlog this Tuesday at 12:30pm EDT/9:30am PDT. I'm not sure how easy it will be to update BOTH the 'Blog and here, so if you don't see updates here, please check the 'Blog for updates. Should the 'Blog go down because of all the traffic, I'll be moving the updates to here, so please be flexible and work with me this coming week. :)
AOL and Nintendo are holding a contest to allow one lucky Nintendo fan to be able to play the Revolution first before anyone else in the entire world at the Nintendo press conference just prior to E3 in Los Angeles on May 9 (which is less than three weeks away). Included in the package is a a 3-day/2-night trip for two to LA to attend the conference as well as a Nintendo DS with New Super Mario Bros., a Nintendo T-shirt, and US$200 spending cash.
Two Second Prizes will take home all of the above minus the ability to play Revolution first.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and US residents to be eligible. The contest is open from noon EDT/9am PDT on April 21 (that’s today) through noon EDT/9am PDT April 28. What it takes to enter the contest is yet unknown; however considering there’s only a one-week suspense, it might be as simple as putting your name in the hat. The details should be on the site once they open the floodgates.
Good luck to all of you… or at least those of you old enough. ;)
Long Overdue Stuff
You've all been waiting patiently; I really appreciate that. Life is still very stressful for me, so I've gotten very little done of late, and so my updates are slacking. Be that as it may, it is update time. Today we've got:
Small Update
Sorry about the lack of updates again. TML is once again overworked at work, and time just isn't there as much as I'd like it to me. I'm starting to get a small backlog of stuff to post up, and I'm just not feeling up to it when I get home. I'm going to try to keep this from being a small hiatus though, so let's hope for that.
Another April Fool's Done
In case you didn't guess, the "original" Zelda movie was our April Fool's joke this year. I have my write-up of the events leading up to this snafu over at ZeldaBlog, so make sure you take a gander over there to see what happened. :)
Better Late than Never
A lot of people have been eagerly telling me about the Nintendo announcement (many thanks to you guys). I really have been on the ball, and I have been aware of it, but I've been sick, so my drive to get updates out on the wire has been near zero. So sorry.
However, for those of you who haven't heard yet, Iwata, the President of Nintendo, has finally made official the first Nintendo DS title for Zelda; it is to be called The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. In addition, he mentioned a small little bit about the Revolution, but for the sake of brevity, please feel free to check out my update on the ZeldaBlog for more details.
