My Test For you

Do you ever find yourself starting at marvelous graphics on the Gamecube? Catch yourself staring at the X-Box’s smooth curves? Can you just lose yourself in the high-tech environment on today’s gaming? Well, Stop it! You’re only contributing to the great depression of gaming. Now I’m not saying that graphics are bad for a game…thought it does sound like that. They’ve just proven to be bad for the industry. Yeah, yeah, you don’t believe me. But I really don’t care. I want you to take a test. Most of you are prolly 4th generation gamers anyway and don’t even really know what gaming was like back in the day. So, I challenge you to find out. I want you to seek out and aquire certain games. First on the list, Moria. I’m not even sure if you can find this one. It’s a really really old PC where you go around as &. Yep, you’re the "and" sign. The whole game is made up of signs like that. Mountains? They’re ^. Enemies can be @ or any number of other symbols. But the gameplay is superb. You’ll love this game. There are actually several games like this. Look for them. The newer version of Moria is called Angband. After this, we’ll try even lower graphics…try no graphics. The original Zork. It is a text-based adventure which is not only addictive, but incredibly hard. Play it and beat it, e-mail me, and I may respect you~_^ After that, you’ll need an NES and a local pawn shop. I think you know where this is going. Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, and Super Mario Bros. 3 are all next on the list. Also, one of my personal favorites, Joust. I seriously want you all to find and play these guys, by the way, I’m not just saying this for my health. You don’t have to beat all of these games, just try ‘em out for a few hours. Heck, you can return ‘em the next day for all I care. Next up is our SNES years which will be our final stop. Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, and Final Fantasy 5(that’d be a bit harder to find on the SNES) are my top picks for this era. Why are you doing all this again? To see what is was like. Most of you don’t even know what is was like to stab giant flying birds on top of your own in the ancient days of Joust. Maybe if you see how awesome games can really be, you’ll understand how crappy most of today’s crap really craps. If you still can’t understand or if you’re unwilling to even try, then I give up. Have fun in your blissful ignorance with your purty graphics.
